Let's push back the darkness using hard work and fresh thinking…

I've made a commitment today and put it on the home page of this site and called it the $100.00 Challenge. Like just about everybody, I am sick of the weasel words talked by business consultants with their magic formulas and assertions that thinking happy thoughts will make everything great.

For those that happy talk works for, I say, go ahead and do it. I'm talking to a different group of people. I'm talking to people who are utterly genuine, have been blindsided by events out of their control and truly wonder what to do to either minimise the loss, restore to full health, avoid total failure or change and move in a new direction.

Trust me, I understand the pain that comes with change and survival. Over recent times, I've had to let 90 people go and for someone like me who cares deeply about the team, that is gut wrenching stuff. But, I also understand that saving a business enterprise can mean making decisions that will make the difference between keeping some people and losing all of them.

So, to my commitment. I back myself as someone who has spent a lot of time in distressed businesses and I know I've made a real difference. When things go a bit sideways, it all seems to go wrong. Staff, suppliers, customers, shareholders, directors. They all get stressed and the pressure comes on you to DO SOMETHING!

I want to demonstrate how much I believe I can help in almost any business. I'm prepared to put a  sum of money at stake in the interests of showing you that I'm not just full of bullshit. You give me one hour where I have your full attention, full disclosure and a focus on a laser analysis of what is happening in your business. At the end of that hour, I will go away and provide you a simple summary of what I have seen, what I have interpreted and a least two ideas or insights that will be of value to you. If you genuinely think I'm talking nonsense, tell me and I will donate $100.00 to the charity of your choice in your name and send you a copy of the receipt just so you know I am a man of my word.
