Business Consultants
Bloody vampires, the lot of them…
This might seem a strange thing to say as someone who unfortunately is doomed to be called one. You look for other ways to describe such people and you end up drifting off into a euphemism fest that only clouds the water further.
Let’s describe what most people might think a business consultant is. Here’s a person that finds someone with a business that may need a little help in some area. In from the carpark, exiting an expensive late model European car comes the business consultant; dark suited, hair slicked back, intimidating heels or at least highly polished expensive shoes, smelling of success and confidence, carrying a branded briefcase or portfolio.
They don’t even need to listen to you, the business owner because they’ve done this a thousand times before and in the end, the seven step wonder plan will work on any business. Sign here and let’s go. That’s just the start though. You though there might have been a metaphorical leak in a single window flashing, but no! Your business is a proverbial leaky home and unfortunately that’s going to take a lot of time and I can help you with all of that for the low, low figure of whatever the hell I can get away with. I hope you like me because if I get my way, I’m going to be seeing you for a long time to come.
If this is the version of business consultant you think of when you’re thinking such things, don’t worry. There are plenty of them out there just waiting to sink their fangs into you.
But it isn’t the full story. I’ll tell you a little about the philosophy of Regeneration HQ because that’s what i can vouch for. We believe that consultants are like house guests. Lovely to meet and spend quality time with but like all good things, there is a limit.
So, our intention is to come in with a very specific outcome in mind, preferably project based and then get out. The difference is that success for us is not what we have achieved for you but how we have empowered you to take new learning and skills to continuously improve your business long after we have gone. The project is to coach, guide and advise and only directly intervene if absolutely necessary.
There is quality help available that you don't need to be frightened of. It isn't cheap because you should pay for the accumulated wisdom and experience of professionals, but cost is relative. If you know what you want and need help to achieve it, I suggest a conversation and it might as well be with Regeneration HQ. Projects that have a start point, an end point and a very clear end of objective can be transformational for a business and transformational in the way you will view your own capabilities in the end.
Worth a call?
